Galera,
lendo o grupo rec.games.video.classic e o alt.atari2600vcs vi uma mensagem
de alerta sobre um "bad trader" do ebay. Pelo que entendi o cara mandou
coisas erradas, faltando e quebradas. E não foi somente uma reclamação.
Coloco aqui a mensagem original.

Subject: BAD EBAY TRADER: protocoldroid (XE Game System)
Please be advised that you do not want to deal with:
eBay user PROTOCOLDROID
She sent me an XE Game System which was damaged due to poor packaged
(i.e. it was wrapped with tape!), it did not include the items described
in the auction post, and her shipping was delayed without explanation.
In addition, she has posted two retaliatory negative feedbacks within
the past two days!
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On the evening of May 14, 2000, I posted the winning bid in
protocoldroid's auction for an XE game system (item 329120196, winning
bidder: the_maverick.) I sent an e-mail to her on "Sun, 14 May 2000
21:30:01" asking for an address and total for payment. I specifically
noted in that e-mail: "I am particularly interested in having the XE
box arrive in good condition. Please package it securely inside another
box to guard against shipping damage." (This concern regarding the box
was also noted in the letter I sent with payment.)
By the way, I didn't receive an e-mail notice of the auction results
until "Mon, 15 May 2000 18:38:56 PDT", so I was already handling the
transaction more *promptly* than required by the eBay rules.
I received a reply dated "Mon, 15 May 2000 07:47:21" with her address
and a total including shipping from Canada. In order to *expedite*
things, I made arrangements to get down to the post office to purchase a
postal money order on 5/17/00, two days later. I sent the money order
at the same time as I purchased it. I still have the receipt dated
5/17/00.
When I hadn't received the XE system by early June, I sent a message to
protocoldroid on "Fri, 09 Jun 2000 16:12:39" stating "Wanted to check on
the status of the XE system. Thanks!" I received a reply dated "Mon,
12 Jun 2000 21:21:59" stating "it was sent out today. sorry for the
delay."
The XE system arrived yesterday (postmarked 6/13, nearly a month after
the end of the auction and a day after she claimed it was sent out!) In
addition to the unexplained shipping delay, there were two other
problems.
First, the XE box was shipped inside two folded pieces of cardboard (not
even boxed) and the inner piece of cardboard was affixed to the XE box
with six pieces of wide clear packing tape!!! The tape had separated
during shipping in several places and wripped the outside of the XE box.
Of secondary concern was the fact that the system was missing the Bug
Hunt and Missile Command manuals when it had been described as including
the manuals. (While the system was also missing the RF cable and switch
box, these weren't listed in the auction post so I had already guessed
they were missing anyway - as usual.)
I sent her an e-mail today explaining that I posted the negative because
I would not be able to do so after the auction posting was gone but
explained that I was willing to retract the negative if we could work
something out. Concurrent with that message, and due to the delay on
the part of protocoldroid, I posted a negative stating "Told her
condition of box was important, she wrapped with tape, box now
damaged!" This was done because of eBay's new policy which won't allow
negatives without a current auction number (which serves to benefit bad
traders who delay.) My decision to post immediately was also influenced
by the content of another negative posted against her just yesterday.
When I logged on to check e-mail this afternoon, I had the following
message from protocoldroid dated "Sat, 24 Jun 2000 17:12:59": "well you
have some concerns. i was willing to refund you the bid amount. but
since you have jumped the gun and left negative feedback without trying
to sort this out (as per ebay policy) you can kiss my ass." I sent a
reply to her indicating that I was still willing to retract my comment
if she could remedy the situation.
THEN I checked my feedback and found the following negative posted:
"Left - feedback w/out trying to resolve auction issue &Extremely tardy
payment." The latter comment is false (not to mention extremely ironic
considering the fact that I mailed payment within two days of the notice
from eBay and she was the one who apologized for a delay!)
Finally, this is the SECOND EXAMPLE OF RETALIATORY FEEDBACK BY THIS USER
WITHIN A TWO DAY PERIOD! She did the exact same thing to eBay user
Choogy who posted negative feedback for her on Jun-22-00 15:24:45 PDT
after which he received a negative from her on Jun-23-00 17:29:30 PDT.
CONCLUSION:
DO NOT DEAL WITH protocoldroid! She has a demonstrated history of being
unreliable (inexplicably late shipping), untruthful (claiming my payment
was extremely tardy), and a bad trader (posts retaliatory negatives.)
